Heeey guysss!!! How are you???
I’m Marco Di Carlo, I live in Hollywood…

Perhaps some of you already know me for the article I wrote here on GANZO about my encounter with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the famous rock & roll club, The Troubadour, some weeks ago: oh God, every time I think about it I get goosebumps…a dream? Yes a dream come true…

Anyway, here I wanna tell you about the amazing trip I had with my parents and uncles some days ago, they came to visit me from Italy…probably the most beautiful journey I’ve ever done…unique!!!

First step: Grand Canyon Arizona (nearly eight hours by car from Los Angeles!!!) but it was really worth it…YEAH…

(Bob Marley, Bob Dylan and Elvis were IN-DA-CAR…)

.

.

227 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, it attains a depth of over a mile…OVER A MILE!!!
“FREE YOUR SOUL”, this place seems to be saying…I DID…

.

This area was inhabited by Native Americans who built settlements within the canyon and its many caves…then Europeans arrived, and we all know how it ended…

.

Well, guys, never seen such a thing…an exciting, unbelievable glance, I felt very very small…Mother Nature never before struck me this way…
Just one river (the Colorado River) created all this, in million of years…good job ah ah ah…
A feeling of inferiority…strong inferiority…
Mother Nature wins, always…

Me, Marco Di Carlo

Heart-warming sunsets, Michelangelo was to paint the sky every night…beautiful…

.

Next step, Monument Valley, located on the northern border of Arizona with southern Utah…

.

The Indians manage all activities within the valley…THIS IS THEIR AREA folks, don’t act up to them! Or you’ll get in troubles!!!

Well, almost all western movies were filmed here, this is the land of JOHN WAYNE and JOHN FORD!!!

.

After that, we moved to Antelope Canyon, the most-visited and most-photographed slot canyon in the American Southwest…
It is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona…
The Navajo name for Antelope Canyon means “the place where water runs through rocks”, in fact in some seasons the caves are closed to the public for the frequent floods…

Antelope Canyon

2 p.m., the sunlight played to color the rocks…five types of different colors on the same rock…
Just like a painting, Michelangelo must also be passed from here…

Antelope Canyon

Then, Bryce Canyon National Park, located in southwestern Utah… a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau…

Bryce Canyon

The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views!!!
THESE ARE THE AMAZING HOODOOS!!!geological structures formed by wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks…look at these, seem handmade, gorgeous…

Oh! I forgot!
During the whole time, my traveling companions have suffered just one thing: THE FOOD!!!ah ah ah…so funny…  You can see their upset faces when we joined the nth fast food…”There is nothing else to eat here?!” “No mum, you better get used to it…”

Las Vegas

And, last step, Nevada…LAAAS VEGAAAS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!
I was there already last year, but they were so curious…
Ah ah ah mom and dad in Vegas, sounds crazy!!!
Must go VEGAS at least once in your life, to see where game, vice and madness are on the agenda…
Their comments? “too loud, too bare girls, too casinos, too lights…but we like it!”

Las Vegas

Luxor Hotel, the Egyptian… Pyramids, Sphinxes, Pharaohs…
“I’m sorry man, can you tell me where I can find Miss Cleopatra?” “Shut the f@#k up man” “Thank you Sir, this work put too much stress on you ah ah!!!”

My parents

Well, that was our unforgettable journey, hope you liked that… thank you mom, thank you dad, thank you uncle, thank you aunt…
And thanx to the United States for all that they provide us…

CIAO TO EVERYONE
