How do you know Campari is a distinctly Italian icon? Well, for starters it just happens to share the birth year of the Italian republic. To mark its 150th anniversary Campari is, in addition to hopefully downing a few good Negronis, celebrating through a collaboration with two other Italian icons: legendary artist/designer Bruno Munari (1907-1998) and Milanese luxury luggage brand Bric’s.
Munari’s eye-catching Manifesto Campari lithograph (1965) is part of MoMA New York’s collection that is not currently on view, but it will definitely be on display as it travels all over the world courtesy of Bric’s limited edition travel collection. The series features bright red wallets, totes, travel bags and a key fob, all in eco-leather and adorned with designs inspired by Munari’s vision of Campari.
