This January, the traditional Italian traditional hiking boot meets the typical skater shoe from Southern California with a collaborative Spring 2013 collection from Diemme and Vans. The Buffalo Boot LX is the brainchild of two very different master sports shoe makers. Founded in Los Angeles in 1966, Vans is the uncontested leader in skateboarding shoes, Diemme has always stayed true to the traditional Italian shoemaking process.
Available in Root or Black/Mouton colorways, the Buffalo Boot LX is definitely inspired by Diemme’s own Roccia Vet silhouette. New elements come through a switch from vulcanized to welted construction methods and the inclusion of details such as a waterproof suede upper, speed-lacing metal hardware, heavy-duty cord laces and a durable Vibram outsole. This is a very limited edition release and, with the great Made in Italy branding on the tongue of the shoes, it’s a release that people who love Italy and are addicted to streetwear will want to keep their eye on.
