After all the hustle and bustle of Milan’s design week, from the Salone del Mobile (design fair) to Euroluce (lighting fair) and the Fuorisalone (design district events), you might feel a little tired. That’s the moment when you need to find the strength to reach for one last Italian design catalogue and take a look at Campeggi. Campeggi will make sure that all the tiredness your feeling won’t affect your excercise thanks to several pieces of furniture designed to help you get a work out with minimal effort and lots of fun and relaxation.
Originally from Sicily, the accomplished Milan-based designer Giovanni Levanti takes the art of relaxing to a whole new level with Rilassata [Relaxed] and Sneaker. Sneaker is a trampoline with a round inflatable resting surface on one side that will support your back while you take time to stretch. Rilassata features a ball-shaped end attached to a polyurethane foam mat. When folded it functions as a chair; when unfolded and turned on its side it can be used as an exercise mat.
Young multi-talented Italian designer Emanuele Magini brings a playful tongue-in-cheek attitude to his many design activities (he teaches and does set design for Disney). In his work for Campeggi this translates into a very irreverent attitude to sportsmanship. The Lazy Football and Lazy Basketball chair lets people who are too tired or too lazy play these normally high-energy sports while staying comfortably seated.
