In elementary school all of us tried at least once to make a portrait or a drawing of a classmate during art class. Some of us (like me!) weren’t good at all, others were particularly gifted. One of those gifted kids must have been italian artist Diego Fazio. His photorealistic pencil drawings are so perfect that they’re uncanny.

But even talent needs to develop. Initially Diego honed his skills as a tattoo designer. It was only afterwards that he moved on to a traditional canvas. Precise lines and oriental techniques are at the basis of his success. Without ever having attended art school, he is completely self-taught and this makes his work even more praiseworthy.
