Bono, Ali Hewson and Renzo Rosso in Africa

Diesel+EDUN is the name of the new denim collection created by the collaboration between EDUN, the eco fashion brand founded by Ali Hewson and Bono, and Diesel, the italian label helmed by Renzo Rosso. During the 2012 International Herald Tribune Luxury Conference in Rome, the two brands have announced their partnership aimed to bring a sustainable and ethical awareness to the fashion world. In fact, the 25 piece collection, inspired by African creativity, will be entirely sourced and manufactured in Africa using cotton from farmers in Northern Uganda.

With this collection Diesel and EDUN want to show that is possible to source, produce and generate a sustainable trade in Africa. Unlike many other initiatives, the two brands firmly believe that the most sustainable way to help those in need in Africa is not through aid, but through trade that supports suppliers and educates customers. As Ali Hewson affirms “the luxury of the future should be knowing no matter what you buy, you should know it’s a good product, and it’s done right.”

Here at Ganzo we know what inspired this collaboration and so we can’t wait to see the collection become available online and in-store from March 2013.
