Angular and minimalist, from afar the new Dritto (straight in Italian) collection of tables by Piero Lissoni for Salvatori looks almost like a group of line drawings. However, before you decide that the series is about straightforward design, take a closer look and you’ll discover an inspired combination of rational planning and natural beauty.
Bold, but delicate, the effortlessly light appearance of the Dritto is achieved using heavy Carrara marble, Pietra d’Avola stone or post-industrial recycled Lithoverde. Honed into ultra-thin slabs, the stone surfaces of the collection reveal unique natural patterns that contrast with the stark geometry of its iron frame. While the character of the table remains the same across the collection, the Dritto is available in different shapes and sizes, which makes it perfect as a coffee table, desk or dining table.
