Elysian Field’s dream-like vocals might hail from Brooklyn, but the band’s success has always depended on Europe.
Their Italian connection? When Lavazza tapped the New York band for an ad campaign called “The Real Italian Espresso Experience” their song “Black Acres” became synonymous with the dark romantic atmosphere of a Venetian coffee date.
Now the group is back with a new album, their 7th in 16 years, titled “Last Night on Earth.” To find out more about their romantic pop stylings marked by an avant-garde jazz influence and distinctly dissonant touches, grab an espresso cup and listen to the album when it is released on May 20, 2011.
