Future Fashion from Faenza
The Italian region of Emilia-Romagna might be home to one of the oldest universities in the Western Hemisphere, but with its young and dynamic population it’s also an incubator for new and innovative ideas. It’s against this unique background that the Italian fashion label Fabric Division has emerged in the city of Faenza.
Featuring a clean and minimal aesthetic, Fabric Division is the idea of designers Linda Crivellari and Enrico Assirelli. The bold impact of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection comes from geometric shapes and architectural lines that bring a decisive form to relaxed and baggy pieces. In black, gray, and off-white, the muted color palette reflects the hues of our modern urban landscape. The designers use materials such as crepe-knitted lycra to create streetwear separates that are as elegant as the silhouette of a classical statue, while maintaining a focus on the future.
