The clear simplicity of glass forms the basis for architect Carlo Santambrogio and designer Ennio Arioso’s amazing transparent houses.
The glass houses were conceived by Santambrogio Milano as a stunning showcase for the architectural elements and furnishings the company designs from extra-clear tempered safety glass. Built almost entirely (with the exception of the ground floor) from the same uniquely advanced glass the company uses in its other products, the houses come in two different models: a sea house and a forest house.
Drawing together the impulse to live in contact with nature and the need for privacy, the houses are made from Privalite, a glass that in just one click can quickly switch from transparent to matte. The jointed grid structure of the houses also means that the size can be expanded or contracted according to a client’s needs. While we don’t suggest you start throwing stones in this glass house, this is definitely the most protected and sturdy way to be completely at home in nature.
