In order to make sense of all the news that’s coming out of the even, we’ve decided to give you a head-to-toe breakdown, from hat to shoes, of some of the Italian fashion designers we’re most excited about this year. Keep up with us in the months to come and you’ll definitely see some of these young talents featured in our Grab it! and Try it on columns.
Hats from Superduper
The name pretty much says it all. As one of the two winners of this year’s Who is on next? competition, the three designers behind Superduper’s incredible hats – Ilaria and Veronica Cornacchini and Matteo Gioli – are clearly on top of their game. These modern toppers owe their innovation to the recuperation of traditional, sometimes forgotten, production methods that are used to create bold and angular shapes.
Shirts from Camo
Inspired by the colors of foliage and flowers Burcina park in Biella, the garment dyed cotton tees in Camo’s Garden Collection for Spring Summer 2014 incorporate bright colors and geometric shapes for a clean and modern look that stands out.
Pants and shorts from Stella Jean
The Italo-Haitian designer brings the same bright colors and spirit of multicultural contamination characteristic of her womenswear to her debut menswear collection. Combining fabric from Burinka Faso with European tailoring her pieces offer a truly unique cosmopolitan mix that is both eye-catching and wearable.
Shoes from Y.O.U.
Made in Italy, Y.O.U. (Your Own Universe) shoes are unique thanks to a striking combination of colorful materials with different textures. Sporty, but updated with urban details, the shoes in Y.O.U.’s Spring / Summer 2014 Move collection are perfect for making your way through the city in style.
