The 84th edition of the biannual Pitti Uomo menswear Italian fashion trade show is now officially underway in Florence.  Along with all the street-style strutting, cocktail hours, swamped restaurants and other associated madness, there is, as always, a lot of amazing young talent on display.

In order to make sense of all the news that’s coming out of the even, we’ve decided to give you a head-to-toe breakdown, from hat to shoes, of some of the Italian fashion designers we’re most excited about this year. Keep up with us in the months to come and you’ll definitely see some of these young talents featured in our Grab it! and Try it on columns.

The name pretty much says it all.  As one of the two winners of this year’s Who is on next? competition, the three designers behind Superduper’s incredible hats – Ilaria and Veronica Cornacchini and Matteo Gioli – are clearly on top of their game. These modern toppers owe their innovation to the recuperation of traditional, sometimes forgotten, production methods that are used to create bold and angular shapes.
