The premier Swiss watchmaker Hublot, founded by Italian Carlo Crocco in 1980, is the official timekeeper and watch manufacturer of the Ferrari company and racing team. Given that partnership, it’s not surprising that after Ferrari’s release of its latest flagship supercar, the LaFerrari, Hublot is introducing an equally advanced super-watch, the Masterpiece MP-05 LaFerrari.
With a world record setting 50 day power reserve, the MP-05 is designed to resemble the LaFerrari both in shape and technology. Created in a limited edition of 50 pieces, the black PVD titanium watch features a unique open case that reveals 11 barrels arranged in a spine-like column. The hour and minute are indicated with SuperLuminova™ markings on anodised black aluminium cylinders fastened to a suspended Tourbillion cage. These are just a few of the unique features of a watch that can boast 637 pieces. While we might not have enough money to buy the LaFerrari or the MP-05, we’re more than happy to marvel at their mechanical mastery.
