There are times when I just like to consider these works as clear images with unclear meanings, and probably just as images without meanings at all. ~ Mario Sughi
Son of a professional artist, Mario Sughi (aka nerosunero) moved from Rome to Dublin to pursue a Ph.D. in Medieval History. Fast forward 20 years and Mario’s striking super-saturated illustrations have a place in the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. The vector-like work has earned Mario recognition from the Annuals of Italian Illustrators, American Illustrators, Aesthetica Creative Works Annual and a place in the 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 2009.
His pieces, and their accompanying humorous titles can be found at his solo show and 3 group exhibitions this summer in Ireland and the Netherlands, as well as on his website as well as an online art store.
