When you hear the name Roy Rogers you probably imagine the legendary American cowboy and singer. However, the Roy Rogers we’re obsessed with at the moment isn’t the King of the Cowboys, it’s the King of Italian Denim.
As the first Italian denim brand, Roy Rogers can claim a history of style that would make any brand jealous. Recently, the iconic Italian label has seen a resurgence thanks to its combination of quality materials, vintage styling, and contemporary cuts.
Updating insight acquired since its inception in 1949, Roy Rogers’ Spring / Summer 2013 Men’s Collection includes premium detailing such as 100% cotton linings and leather labels vegetable-tanned with materials from Santa Croce sull’Arno. The Roy Rogers’ Rugged limited edition line turns to Japan for raw selvedge denim that is finished with tags crafted from vintage 1965 leather found in the Roy Rogers archive. A capsule Surf Heritage collection, which takes its inspiration from a vintage Waikiki surf vibe, also made its debut at Pitti Immagine Uomo with a mix of denim, Colombian gabardine and Japanese chambray pieces.
